I’m heading to Chicago today to take part in this conference on Corporate Communications and the Social Media Revolution, sponsored by Ragan Communications. I and a few co-workers are going up early for the Un-Conference brainstorming session that takes place tomorrow. I doubt I’ll be doing much blogging from the event, since one of my co-workers/co-attendees has planned out every minute of our free time for social activities. But you never know. See you in a few. And if any readers or fellow bloggers are attending this conference, it would be great to meet you there.

Happy OneWebDay
I got up early on this Saturday just to wish you all a Happy OneWebDay.
What am I talking about?
The mission of OneWebDay is to create, maintain, advance and promote a global day to celebrate online life: September 22
So…
Leave your mark online, directly or indirectly. Do a blog post, or a video, about the most interesting thing you’ve seen online recently. Teach someone how to edit a wiki or send a link to a digital photo. Find a way to help more people get online. The internet is made up of all of these individual contributions – it’s a social world, and much more than just a collection of machines.
The central goal of OneWebDay is to encourage people not to take the internet for granted. It’s under threat around the world from a variety of directions, and it’s up to people (just like you) to recognize that these threats exist, that we have a shared responsibility for the future of the internet, and that a global, interoperable internet is important to all of us.
