2 resources for higher ed tweeters and their schools

Via Karine Joly‘s enewsletter, I learned about a project to list all the higher ed tweeters and college/university Twitter accounts. It’s called higheredtweeters.com and is the project of Marie Howell, who works at the University of California-Santa Barbara.

There’s another resource for anyone interested in higher ed Twitter usage: the @higheredu Twitter account put together by DIOSA Communications (Heather Mansfield).

If your university has a Twitter account, be sure to get on both of these lists. But if you’re a higher ed tweep whose school doesn’t have a Twitter account, then sign up for Marie’s new site.

  1. Rachel – I don’t know what happened to the other lists. If they’re anything like the lists I make, they probably got left in a pocket and destroyed in the washer.
