From time to time I use this space as a forum to talk about job opportunities at the university where I work, Missouri S&T. This is one of those times. If you’re a communicator who is interested in a new challenge, or you know someone who is, then please read on.
Missouri S&T is looking for a seasoned communications pro to join our team and lead our strategic communications efforts. The position is newly created and involves supervisory responsibility as well as a lot of hands-on work, from drafting and editing speeches and presentations to preparing press releases, handling media relations, assisting me (and others) with issues management, and coordinating assignments. And other duties as assigned, of course.
This individual would work with a creative, highly motivated and award-winning marketing and communications team that includes web and digital communications, brand management, university wide marketing and promotion, graphic design, photography and video. It’s a great opportunity for someone with management experience who is looking for a new challenge.
