Wanted (still): electronic marketing whiz

That electronic marketing position I mentioned on this blog a few weeks ago? We’ve reopened the position. For some reason we’re having a hard time getting qualified applicants who want to come to Rolla, Missouri. It’s not a bad place to live, especially if you love the outdoors, fly fishing, canoing/kayaking on spring-fed streams, hiking, camping, etc. We also have wineries nearby, a Wal-Mart Super Center, indoor plumbing and other modern amenities. So, please, if you’re looking for a new challenge in the high-profile, fast-paced world of electronic marketing in higher education, visit our HR website for more info.

Seriously, this would be an ideal fit for someone who has an interest in convergence. It’s more than just a web position. And you’d get to work with some great people.

The other position I announced here, for the assistant director of sports information, yielded 18 applicants.

  1. yeah, um, that link to your HR site. Where exactly on that site do they have the actual job listings? You’d think it would be under “employment opportunities” right?

  2. Oh! I will raise you not one, not two, but three “Walmart Super Centers” at MU. Conveniently located at I-70 and I-63 to leave walmart country at a whim in search of elusive kmarts, costcos, and big lots.

[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ‘1447454079 which is not a hashcash value.

  3. Eric – I can understand how a Wal-Mart Super Center could be perceived as a negative. But it is open 24 hours. The humidity can be killer. (Not selling it that well, am I?)

Jonathan – No way I can compete with Columbia, Mo.’s retail offerings. But Rolla does have a K-Mart and a Big Lots.

  4. I’ve worked in the communications department for the past two months as an intern. This is a great opportunity and the people there are amazing!

Click employment opportunities, Under the “Staff Positions” Column, click Prospective New Employees. Then click on search without typing anything in and you’ll see the listings.
